What are they made from?

Even though they are marketed as Silk, Mink, or even Cashmere, these are terms used to describe the sheen of the fiber. Generally, silk lashes are shinier than mink lashes.

What is the maintenance like?
Refill appointments needed every couple of weeks that last around 1 hour to remove the grown out extensions and apply fresh ones
Typically no water for 24 hours, sauna, heavy exercise, excessive heat or steam
No tugging or pulling or eyelash curlers
No mascara or additional falsies
No cutting or pulling the last remaining lashes after a month or two. You must have them removed professionally or wait until the fall of naturally.
What to look for when researching lash salons?
Photos - Make sure the photos look like the types of lashes you want on yourself. You may like that type of lashes on the photos or the model but if you see it on yourself you might think it’s not what you really want.
Professional website - Not all great lash artists have websites, but those that do are serious about their business and are more likely to do a better job.
Reviews - Check on Facebook, Google, and even Yelp or Treatwell to see if they have any reviews and check the dates on them. Disregard old negative reviews if you’ve seen positive ones after that, people grow and learn from their mistakes. But if you see similar negative reviews from different people then you may want to find another place.
Social media channels - Check their photos on social media, do they look like they were taken by the same person in the same space? If not, then it could be a red flag.
