5 SUMMERTIME LASH TIPS
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR LASH EXTENSIONS THIS SUMMER IN 5 EASY TIPS
Caring for your lashes during the summer is incredibly important since our lashes take a beating with the added sunblock, more saltwater, and higher temperatures. We are enjoying life more, putting on more products on our faces, and even taking more photos so we want our lashes to look as amazing as possible!
This is why we're here to help you take care of your lovely lashes to not only help them last longer but also protect the health of your natural lashes as sand, makeup, and oil can clog up your pores and impede new lashes from growing out in a healthy manner.
SHAMPOO AFTER EACH DIP
Taking a dip in the pool or beach? Remember to bring in your shampoo and clean them off as soon as possible. We recommend treating your lashes like you would the hair on your head, if you need to shampoo your hair then you need to shampoo your lashes as well.
Apply specialized lash shampoo to your fingertips or a lash brush and gently pass the foam side to side roots to tips for 30 seconds, then rinse off with clean water, and apply a second round of lash shampoo this time it could be for less as it is just to wash off any remaining residue, rinse off with clean water again and then pat dry before brushing. Brush only when they are completely dry.
2. KEEP AWAY FROM SUNSCREEN AND OILS
Please keep sunscreen, oils, tanning products, and any product away for your lash extensions. Any other compound can break down the glue bond and cause poor retention.
3. AVOID TOUCHING WHEN HOT
Heat may cause the glue to slightly soften and this can cause your lashes to fuse together.
4. KEEP AWAY FROM FIRE
If you're a smoker or if you like to light candles, are a cook, or are around heat all the time then you'll want to pay extra attention to your lashes. Heat also may de-curl your lashes, so over time with some lash brands, the extension may lose its curl slightly over time especially when exposed to extreme heat.
5. PLAN YOUR REFILLS IN ADVANCE
This is a high season for lashes so the timeslots right before long weekends get booked up quickly so plan your appointments in advance and then reschedule as necessary later on as your plans change.
